Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet in Joliet, IL is seeking a Cardiovascular Echocardiography Technologist to perform ultrasound exams of cardiac structures and assist physicians with procedures. This full-time day shift requires accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

The role includes contributing to the Cardiopulmonary Department with documentation and patient care responsibilities, ensuring efficient operation and quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Completion of Echocardiogram program certification preferred.
• EKG rhythm analysis / interpretation certificate or equivalent preferred.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current required.
• Able to assist physician with TEE testing preferred.
• 6 previous experience in performing Echocardiograms of all ages preferred.
• Hospital experience in the Cardiology field preferred.
• ARDMS or CCI credential required

Responsibilities

• Uses ultrasound to visualize internal cardiac structures and obtain measurements.
• Assists the physician with complex ultrasound procedures.
• Promotes smooth operation of Cardiopulmonary Department through clerical/document handling and information gathering.

Shift: Full-Time Days; 8a-4:30p; call required

Responsibilities

Uses ultrasound to visualize internal cardiac structures, obtain measurements of cardiac valves, ventricle and left atrium and visualize blood flow. Assists the physician with complex ultrasound procedures. Promotes the smooth and efficient operation of the Cardiopulmonary Department through the appropriate utilization and management of all clerical functions within the department document handling and disposition, interpersonal relationships and information gathering and dispersion.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Completion of Echocardiogram program certification preferred.
• EKG rhythm analysis / interpretation certificate or equivalent preferred.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current required.
• Able to assist physician with TEE testing preferred.

6 Previous experience in performing Echocardiograms of all ages preferred.

• Hospital experience in the Cardiology field preferred.

8 Registered Echocardiographer preferred.

• ARDMS or CCI credential required
• Able to perform stress testing preferred.
