Job summary

Saint Michael's Medical Center is seeking an Echocardiography Technician to operate ultrasound equipment and assist physicians in cardiac procedures. This per diem role supports the Cardiopulmonary Department and contributes to accurate imaging and timely patient care.

Required training in echocardiography, current BCLS certification, and ARDMS/CCI eligibility within 90 days of hire. Experience in cardiac imaging and strong computer skills are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an Echocardiogram program within 90 days of hire or equivalent training.
  • Current BCLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • ARDMS or CCI certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities
  • Uses ultrasound to visualize internal cardiac structures, obtain measurements of cardiac valves, ventricle and left atrium and visualize blood flow.
  • Assists the physician with complex ultrasound procedures.
  • Promotes the smooth and efficient operation of the Cardiopulmonary Department through the appropriate utilization and management of all clerical functions within the department document handling and disposition, interpersonal relationships and information gathering and dispersion.
Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

  • Completion of Echocardiogram program within 90 days of hire or equivalent training required
  • Current BCLS certificate upon hire and maintain current required
  • Able to assist physician with TEE testing required
  • Previous experience in performing Echocardiograms of all ages preferred
  • Hospital experience in the Cardiology field preferred
  • Effective July 1, 2017 ARDMS or CCI Required within 90 days of hire
  • Proficient computer skills.
Pay Transparency

Saint Michaels Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $40.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
