Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking a registered nurse for the Cardiovascular Laboratory. You will provide direct patient care to adults and geriatric patients, monitor physiological data during procedures, and coordinate with physicians to ensure safe, effective care.

This full-time role requires an active RN license, BCLS/ACLS, and CV lab or critical care experience. Day shifts, comprehensive benefits, and ongoing professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• 1 year of cardiovascular lab or critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to adults and geriatrics in the cardiovascular lab.

• Assists with maintenance of equipment and inventory.
• Assesses room/equipment readiness for procedures.
• Monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data during procedures.
• Monitors and records patient condition in the cardiovascular lab.

Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with physician continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory. Assesses procedure room or equipment functioning and readiness. Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the Cardiovascular Laboratory team are met. Monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Monitors and records patients condition continuously while in the Cardiovascular lab. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred.


• Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required.


• Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required.


• One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area; required.
