Job summary

St. Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles is seeking an Echocardiography Tech to support cardiovascular imaging and assist physicians with TEE procedures. You will visualize cardiac structures, obtain measurements, and participate in maintaining efficient Cardiopulmonary workflow.

The role requires completion of an Echocardiogram program or equivalent, current BCLS, and ARDMS or CCI certification within 9–12 months of hire. Per diem schedule, variable shifts, and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

  • Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current required.
  • Able to assist physician with TEE testing required.
  • ARDMS or CCI certification required with 9-12 months after hire.

  • Promotes the smooth and efficient operation of the Cardiopulmonary Department through appropriate utilization and management of all clerical functions within the department document handling and disposition, interpersonal relationships and information gathering and dispersion.

Responsibilities

Uses ultrasound to visualize internal cardiac structures, obtain measurements of cardiac valves, ventricle and left atrium and visualize blood flow. Assists the physician with complex ultrasound procedures.

Qualifications
  • Completion of Echocardiogram program or equivalent training required
  • Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current required
  • Able to assist physician with TEE testing required
  • Previous experience in performing Echocardiograms of all ages preferred
  • Hospital experience in the Cardiology field preferred
  • ARDMS or CCI Required with 9-12 months after hire
  • Proficient computer skills.
Pay Transparency

St. Francis Medical Center offers competitive compensation and the current compensation rate for this role is $43.99. Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
