Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Olympia Fields Hospital in Olympia Fields, IL, is seeking a Full-Time Cardiac Ultrasound Technician to perform echocardiography studies, support physicians, and help maintain efficient Cardiopulmonary operations.

The role requires ultrasound proficiency, BCLS certification, and readiness for TEE support and stress testing as preferred; hospital experience in cardiology is valued.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Completion of Echocardiogram program certification preferred.
  • EKG rhythm analysis / interpretation certificate or equivalent preferred.
  • Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current required.
  • Able to assist physician with TEE testing preferred.
  • Previous experience in performing Echocardiograms of all ages preferred.
  • Hospital experience in the Cardiology field preferred.
  • Registered Echocardiographer preferred.
  • ARDMS or CCI credential required.
  • Able to perform stress testing preferred.

Overview

Department: OFIL Cardiology Shift: Full-Time, Days, 1.0 FTE: 7a-3:30p, Monday-Friday Typically 1 weekend per month Call typically 1 per week. Call 3:30p-6:30a Facility: Olympia Fields Hospital Location: 20201 South Crawford Ave, Olympia Fields, IL 60461

Responsibilities

Uses ultrasound to visualize internal cardiac structures, obtain measurements of cardiac valves, ventricle and left atrium and visualize blood flow.
