Job summary

Saint Luke's Hospital is seeking an EchoTechnologist to perform comprehensive echocardiography including M-Mode, 2-D, color Doppler and TEE, plus pediatric studies. You will also perform ECGs and Holter hookups and assist with hearing screens and stress testing as needed.

Minimum education is a CAAHEP-accredited program or 6 months of clinical echocardiography experience; active licensure/certification (CCI, ARDMS, RDCS, or RCS) is required with registration within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited CAAHEP or diagnostic medical sonography program or at least 6 months clinical experience.
• Minimum 6 months performing echocardiograms.
• Must have active certification: CCI, ARDMS, RDCS or RCS with registration within 1 year of hire.
• Active BLS for healthcare providers on hire; AHA BLS within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms including M-Mode, 2-D, color Doppler and TEE.
• Perform pediatric echocardiograms and related studies.
• Provide ECGs, 24-hour Holter hookup, infant hearing screens and stress testing as required.
• Complete assigned duties within the introductory period and respond to other related tasks.

Job Summary

This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus

Performs echocardiograms including but not limited to M-Mode, 2-Dimensional, conventional and/or color flow Doppler and TEE Echocardiogram. Performs pediatric Echocardiogram. Provides electrocardiograms, 24-hour Holter monitor hook-ups, infant hearing screens and stress testing. Provides procedures for patients from newborn to maturity. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited CAAHEP or diagnostic medical sonography school, or at least 6 months of clinical experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:NA
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 6 months performing Echocardiograms.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 1 year performing Echocardiograms
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Must have CCI, ARDMS, RDCS, or RCS. If a new graduate, the registration is required within one year from hire date or transfer into position.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: NA
REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
