Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking an Echo Sonographer for the OLGMC Cardiovascular Non-Invasive Lab. The role involves performing comprehensive echocardiographic studies and stress echocardiography with 2D, Doppler, and Color Flow imaging, and preparing detailed diagnostic information for the medical team.

Required are a high school diploma and ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCS registry within 6 months of start; BLS may be expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred 1 year of cardiac ultrasound experience.
• Active RDCS or RCS certification within 6 months of completing the required 12 month clinical experience period.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, instructs, and educates patient on procedures.
• Performs diagnostic procedures in echocardiography including 2D/M-Mode, Doppler, and Color Flow imaging.
• Documents and keeps records of procedures and findings.
• Prepares work area and equipment for procedures.
• Maintains professional development and clinical knowledge in sonography.
• Adapts approach to patient demographics and maintains patient confidentiality.
