Job summary

Ochsner Health in New Orleans, LA seeks a skilled Sonographer to perform a range of cardiac imaging procedures, including echocardiograms and stress studies, with emphasis on accuracy and patient comfort.

You will work full-time day shifts, maintain high-quality patient care, and collaborate with physicians and the health care team to deliver timely results. A required RDCS or RCS credential and BLS are expected within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Active RDCS or RCS certification within 6 months of hire preferred.
• BLS from American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures.
• Compiles patient history and presents preliminary findings.
• Documents and maintains records of procedures and results.
• Maintains area and prepares work space for procedures.
• Supports physicians during interventional procedures using ultrasound guidance.
