Job summary

Humanoid seeks an ECAD Librarian to own and grow the Altium Designer component library for its rapidly developing humanoid platform. You will manage schematic symbols, footprints, and data across our Boston and London EE teams, ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and traceability from draft to production.

This foundational role reduces respin risk and rework by maintaining library hygiene, enforcing standards, and aligning ECAD data with our PLM system as we scale.

Qualifications

• Hands-on with Altium Designer and library creation.
• Strong attention to datasheets, verifying pin counts, pad geometry, and package dimensions before a part goes into a design.
• Familiarity with component lifecycle/PLM concepts and how they connect to manufacturing quality.
• Understanding of standard component conventions: reference designator schemes, tolerances, and approved alternates.
• Comfortable working across a distributed EE team (Boston and London) and prioritizing library requests.
• Bonus: experience with PLM/ERP integration, or startup hardware exposure.

Responsibilities

• Own the Altium component library. Create, validate, and maintain symbols, footprints, and 3D models for new components requested by EE designers.
• Enforce library standards and naming conventions for passives, ICs, and mechanical items.
• Manage part status workflow (Draft → Preliminary → Production) in Altium.
• Verify manufacturer part numbers, alternates, and attach data to library parts; ensure footprint/pinout align with datasheets.
• Provide where-used traceability for components, symbols, and footprints.
• Collaborate with EE designers to add/retire/validate components and communicate changes.
• Support PLM alignment with Teamcenter and part numbering schemes.
• Lead bulk library cleanup to reduce duplication and inconsistencies.
• Document library rules and statuses in Confluence.
