Job summary

Mountain View Intermediate in Franklin, NC is seeking an Exceptional Children’s Teacher Assistant to support instructional programs for students with disabilities under a licensed EC teacher. You will help implement IEPs, provide instructional and behavioral support, and help maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.

The role involves assisting with data collection, collaborating with teachers and therapists, and adhering to FERPA and IDEA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher with 2.5 GPA, or 48 credit hours with 2.5 GPA.
• Enrollment in an Education Program acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist EC teacher with IEPs and instructional plans.
• Provide direct support to students in individual, small group, and inclusion settings.
• Assist with data collection and progress documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality per FERPA and IDEA.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and related service providers.
• Follow safety procedures and CPI de-escalation techniques.
