Job summary

TMSA Public Charter Schools, TMSA Charlotte Elementary - Concord Campus, in Concord, NC, is seeking an EC Support Assistant to help implement IEPs/504 plans and support students with special needs. The role reports to the Principal and supports certified staff in delivering individualized services.

The position requires a high school diploma with preferred coursework in Special Education or related fields; experience with disabilities is desirable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; some college coursework in Special Education, Psychology, or related field preferred.
• Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting students with special needs.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with students, teachers, and families.
• Basic knowledge of IEPs, 504 Plans, and special education laws is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing IEPs and 504 Plans.
• Assist in interpreting testing data.
• Support EC teachers in placement, reevaluation, and manifestation processes.
