Job summary

The role involves assisting with classroom accommodations, data interpretation, and maintaining EC records, while collaborating with teachers and families to promote student achievement and compliance with applicable laws.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities desirable.
• Patience, empathy, and good communication with students, teachers, and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and maintaining an effective learning environment for students with special needs.
• Support implementation of IEPs and 504 Plans.
• Assist in interpretations of testing data and in placement, reevaluation, and manifestation processes.
• Ensure EC record compliance with NC policies and procedures.
• Provide parent and family support and assist EC teachers with annual goals and short-term objectives.

Education
