• Assists the teacher with planning, organizing, and evaluating instructional activities; developing classroom procedures; preparing materials; and presenting instructional activities as directed by the teacher.
• Assists students to increase confidence, self-esteem, and independence.
• Attends to students' physical and personal care needs.
• Supports students in social activities throughout the school program.
• Develops good relationships with children, parents, and professionals such as speech, occupational, and physical therapists.
