Job summary

Cumberland County Schools is seeking a 26/27 Assistant - EC Extended Content Support in Fayetteville, NC. This non-exempt role supports instructional activities, student needs, and inter-professional collaboration within the Special Education program.

The position requires 24+ college hours and Work Keys scores for Workplace Documents, Writing, and Mathematics, with an immediate starting date and an annual salary within the posted monthly range.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 24+ college level semester hours completed along with the approved Work Keys Assessments.
• Meets minimum qualifications established by the Cumberland County Board of Education.
• Work Keys: Workplace Documents (Reading) 4+, Business Writing 3+, Applied Mathematics 4+.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with planning and evaluating instructional activities as directed.
• Assist students to increase confidence, self-esteem and independence.
• Attend to students' physical and personal care needs.
• Support students in social activities throughout the school program.
• Develop good relationships with children, parents, and teachers.
• Maintain confidentiality and participate in staff development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
