Job summary

FHI 360 seeks a STRIDES Outbreak Response Technical Advisor to provide leadership, coordination, and operational oversight for Ebola outbreak preparedness, response, recovery, and transition activities in alignment with national and international standards.

You will work with HQ and country teams to ensure timely implementation, surveillance data use, and collaboration with Ministries of Health, UN agencies, NGOs, and donors.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in public health, epidemiology, or related field.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in public health emergency management.
• 3-5 years of leadership experience in large outbreak responses.
• Experience supporting Ebola, VHFs, or other infectious disease emergencies.
• Fluent English; French language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of STRIDES Ebola outbreak preparedness and response activities.
• Activate and oversee IMS structures and emergency operations functions.
• Provide strategic leadership and guidance to response teams and partners.
• Coordinate surge staffing, deployment planning, and cross-functional activities.
• Prepare reports, briefings, and technical materials for donors and stakeholders.
