Job summary

FHI 360 seeks a STRIDES Ebola Response Technical Advisor to provide leadership, coordination, and operational oversight for Ebola outbreak preparedness, response, and transition activities in the DRC context. You will drive technical direction, oversee incident management, and coordinate with HQ and country teams to ensure timely, evidence‑based actions.

The role requires advanced knowledge of Ebola epidemiology, IMS/EOC, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of epidemiology of viral hemorrhagic fevers (VHF), especially Ebola.
• Strong understanding of IMS, EOC, and emergency management principles.
• Experience with outbreak investigation, surveillance, and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead Ebola outbreak preparedness and response activities across the STRIDES program.
• Coordinate IMS structures, incident management, and cross‑functional response.
• Provide strategic leadership and guidance to response teams and partners.
• Monitor data, review reports, and adjust response strategies as needed.
• Oversee project plans, budgets, and technical deliverables; mentor staff.
