Job summary

FHI 360 is seeking an STRIDES Outbreak Response Technical Advisor to provide leadership, coordination, and operational oversight for Ebola preparedness, response, and transition activities in the DRC.

This role serves as the central focal point for STRIDES Ebola coordination, ensuring timely implementation of response strategies aligned with national response plans, global standards, donor requirements, and the organization's emergency management procedures.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of epidemiology of VHFs, notably Ebola.
• Strong understanding of IMS, EOC, and emergency management principles.
• Experience with outbreak investigation, surveillance, and contact tracing.

Responsibilities

• Lead outbreak preparedness and response activities.
• Coordinate IMS structures and emergency operations functions.
• Provide strategic direction to response teams and partners.
• Monitor epidemiological trends and guide operational decisions.
• Produce reports, briefs, and technical materials.
