VCU Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician eligible for the Earn to Learn program. The role provides direct, age-specific care under the RN or licensed practitioner, focusing on safety, hygiene, and patient comfort.

You will collect patient information, monitor conditions, and support the care team in a busy clinical setting. Ideal candidates are nursing students with a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably CNA certified; BLS HCP certification is required.

Formación

• Required Education: High School Degree or equivalent.
• Preferred Education: Certified Nursing Assistant.
• Licensure/Certification Required: AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent.
• Minimum Qualifications include CNA, MA, EMT, Military Corpsman/Medic, Nursing Aide training or equivalent healthcare experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct, age-appropriate care to patients as directed by RN or licensed practitioner.
• Obtain and record initial and ongoing patient information and vital signs.
• Assist with feeding, hygiene, mobility and safety per care plan.
• Maintain a safe, clean, stocked environment and report safety concerns.
• Attend mandatory trainings and adhere to policy and procedures.
• Establish rapport with patients and healthcare team; perform other duties as assigned.
