Job summary

HomeGrown, a daytime eatery, is seeking a Line Cook to join our Kitchen Team. You’ll be responsible for assigned prep work and cook’s station, learning recipes, maintaining presentation, and ensuring speed and quality in a busy scratch kitchen.

We finish by 3:30 pm daily and offer a team-focused culture built on kindness, collaboration, and personal growth. Full-time benefits include paid time off, vision, dental, and medical coverage.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and desire to learn and grow.
• Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to follow recipes exactly as written.
• Ability to work fast, safe, efficient, and accurately for up to 10 hours.
• Attention to detail and teamwork in a high-stress environment.
• Willingness to help with dishes and prep responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to HomeGrown's recipes, plate presentations and specifications.
• Complete all assigned prep work, following recipes exactly as written.
• Set up workstation.
• Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times.
• Clean and sanitize the work area before, during and after shift.
• Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects.
