HomeGrown in Northwest Arkansas is seeking a Line Cook to join our daytime eatery team. You’ll handle your prep work and station, upholding our recipes, presentation, and cook times.

Work runs are early and end by 3:30 pm, with no dinner shifts, and we emphasize kindness, teamwork, and personal growth in a high-volume scratch kitchen.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and desire to learn and grow.
• Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to follow recipes exactly as written.
• Ability to work fast, safe, efficient, and accurately for periods of up to 10 hours per day.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently and communicate effectively in a high stress, fast paced environment.
• Willingness to help with dishes, prep cook responsibilities, and assist other stations on the line as needed.
• Mobility required during the entire shift.
• Ability to transport cases up to 50 pounds as many as 20 times per day.
• Able to respond in emergency situations to avoid imminent dangers to self and others.

Responsabilités

• Prepare menu items according to HomeGrown's Recipes, Plate Presentations and specifications (60%*).
• Complete all assigned prep work, following recipes exactly as written (15%*).
• Set up workstation (5%*).
• Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times (10%*).
• Clean and sanitize the work area before, during and after shift (5%*).
• Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects (5%*).
