Job summary

HomeGrown is seeking Line Cooks to join our daytime kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you’ll manage your prep work and station, ensuring all recipes are prepared to spec with consistent presentation and quality.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and desire to learn and grow.
• Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to follow recipes exactly as written.
• Ability to work fast, safe, efficient, and accurately for periods of up to 10 hours per day.
• Mobility required and ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to HomeGrown's Recipes, Plate Presentations and specifications (60%*).
• Complete all assigned prep work, following recipes exactly as written (15%*).
• Set up workstation (5%*).
• Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times (10%*).
• Clean and sanitize the work area before, during and after shift (5%*).
• Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects (5%*).
