Job summary

The Fresh Market Inc in Knoxville seeks a Production Manager to lead the department and its operations, driving first-class guest experiences during the early-morning shift. You will manage team members, production flow, safety compliance, and training to ensure high-quality meals and efficient service.

You will coach and develop staff, optimize schedules, and cooperate with other departments to uphold The Fresh Market standards and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of progressive management experience in supermarkets, retail or related.
• Strong leadership and ability to develop high-performing teams.
• Proven ability to deliver an exceptional guest experience while meeting goals.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Direct, manage, and assist all functions of the Production department and lead your team and guests.
• Oversee production for key items supporting Deli-CMS, Meat-Seafood, Bakery, Producedepartments.
• Receive/stock goods following rotation standards when replenishing levels.
• Manage product to reduce shrink and damage.
• Direct teams to handle, cut, and prepare meats, cheeses, bread, prepacked produce, and meal solutions in the early morning.
• Provide team training through The Fresh Market Academy for safe, efficient guest service.
• Lead, engage, motivate, and manage team members to deliver excellent service.
• Coach team members to develop and increase retention.
• Create and manage schedules aligning production with guest shopping hours.
• Ensure safety and food safety compliance per policy and law.
