Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Production Manager in New York to lead the early-morning production team, ensuring high-quality meals and fast, friendly guest service. You will manage all production functions, coordinate with Deli-CMS, Meat-Seafood, Bakery, and Produce, and coach staff for efficiency and excellence.

In this role, you’ll schedule staff, uphold food safety standards, and drive shrink reduction while delivering a first-class dining experience for our guests.

Qualifications

• Progressive management experience in supermarkets, retail, restaurants, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Direct, manage, and assist all functions of the Production department and lead your team
• Oversee production for key items supporting Deli-CMS, Meat-Seafood, Bakery, Produce
• Receive/stock goods with proper rotation and replenishment
• Manage product to reduce shrink/damage
• Guide teams to prepare department items in the early morning while maintaining quality
• Provide training through The Fresh Market Academy for safe, efficient guest service
• Lead and motivate team members to deliver excellent guest service
• Coach team members for development and retention
• Create and manage team schedules aligned with guest shopping hours
• Ensure safety compliance and food safety per policy and law
