FedEx Freight is seeking a dockworker to transport freight across the dock area to and from trailers, ensuring efficient loading and securing shipments. The role emphasizes safety, accurate documentation, and collaboration with center staff.

The position starts at $21.16 per hour for early shift hours (0500-0900). Ideal candidates have basic math and communication skills and may have prior warehouse or forklift experience. This is a physical, team-based role in a fast-paced environment.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior warehousing, freight handling and/or forklift operations preferred.
• Hostler/yard mule duties experience preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift/carry hand freight and dock plates as described in duties.

Responsabilidades

• Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
• Verify documentation matches freight description.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, or rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
