Job summary

Early Learning Corps is powered by AmeriCorps members who serve as tutors in pre-kindergarten classrooms. The program, administered by Ampact, trains tutors to deliver proven activities and coaches them along the way to build early literacy and numeracy skills.

The role is on-site in Mississippi, with a focus on helping young learners thrive through engaging activities and regular progress tracking. Part-time options are available and AmeriCorps stipends are issued bi-weekly.

Qualifications

• Dependable and have a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback.
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping students thrive
• Support reschoolers with learning activities throughout the day
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into tracking software
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training
• Share your experience with community
