Job summary

Ampact's Early Learning Corps seeks an Early Learning Tutor in Minnesota to support pre-kindergarten students, helping build early literacy and math skills through proven activities under coach guidance.

The role is part of AmeriCorps with 35 hours per week during the 2026-27 school year, Monday–Friday, with some weeks reduced by holidays. Full-time AmeriCorps members receive a paycheck (stipend) every two weeks and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance
• Able to follow instructions and take feedback
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email, online navigation)
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
• 18+ with high school diploma or equivalent
• US citizen, national, or permanent resident
• Able to complete a background check

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping students thrive
• Support preschoolers with learning activities throughout the day
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's onsite coach
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into tracking software
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training
• Share your experience with the community
