Job summary

Ampact's Early Learning Corps is hiring an Early Learning Tutor in Minnesota to support pre-kindergarten students with literacy and math skills. You’ll work in a classroom, learn proven activities, and receive coaching to grow professionally.

In this AmeriCorps role, you’ll earn a biweekly stipend, participate in training, and help children build confidence and a love of learning. The schedule runs Monday–Friday with part-time options available.

Qualifications

• Reliable, with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer tasks (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18+ years old with HS diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. citizen, national, or lawful resident; able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Support preschoolers with learning activities throughout the day.
• Track student progress and meet with on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores into tracking software.
• Commit to personal growth through coaching and training.
• Share experiences with the community.
