Job summary

Akin in Seattle is seeking an energetic team member to assist in providing comprehensive child development services and support in center activities. You will help with documentation per Head Start, ECEAP, CARF and licensing standards and aid Lead/Assistant teachers.

You will interact with families, help with meals and daily routines, and participate in ongoing staff trainings. A HS diploma and commitment to training are required, with competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
• Willingness to complete trainings within required timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Interact positively with all children to support learning and emotional development.
• Communicate regularly with families and involve parents in the program.
• Assist in learning activities to meet children's developmental goals.
• Support classroom setup, health and safety practices, meals, and routines.
• Observe and assist with record keeping per program standards.
