Job summary

Akin seeks an entry-level Child Development Assistant to support lead teachers in an early learning setting. You will help with classroom activities, documentation, meals, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for children and families.

You must be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, and complete required trainings within 30 days. The role emphasizes teamwork, confidentiality, inclusion, and ongoing professional development in a program that values equity and community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; CDA preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Proficient with Office 365 and basic database usage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing comprehensive child development services.
• Support Lead and Assistant teachers in daily activities.
• Assist with documentation and record keeping per standards.
• Help in meal/snack times and family-style meals with children.
• Engage in professional development and trainings as required.
