Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Waukesha County is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support daily activities in an early learning setting, under supervision. You will assist the Lead Teacher in providing safe, nurturing care and help implement developmentally appropriate plans for children.

Applicants must be 18+, meet Wisconsin licensing requirements, and pursue CPR/First Aid certifications. Strong communication and positive relationships with staff and families are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must meet Wisconsin childcare licensing requirements.
• Requires CPR/First Aid/AED certification (obtainable).
• Experience in licensed early learning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and supervise daily activities.
• Support Lead Teacher and provide a safe, nurturing environment for children.
• Maintain records and communicate with families and supervisor as needed.
