YMCA of Greater Waukesha County seeks a Part-Time Lead Teacher for the West Suburban YMCA in Wauwatosa, WI. The role involves coordinating daily activities in an early learning program, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children, and coordinating with families and staff.

The position requires 320 hours of approved education setting experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and licensing-aligned credentials.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with 320 hours of experience in an approved education setting.
• Must have completed high school or equivalent.
• Must meet all Child Care Licensing requirements including two DCF-approved courses in early childhood education, a Wisconsin credential, or equivalent qualification.

Responsabilités

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and actively participate in daily activities for children to engage students and monitor safety.
• Serve as a role model to staff and participants.
• Develop positive relationships with staff, families, and children while providing support and guidance.
• Maintain participant records and documentation.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of learning spaces and classrooms.
• Follow emergency procedures and regulations from licensing bodies.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
