Job summary

The Lake Superior YMCA is hiring a Part-Time Assistant Teacher to support early childhood education and supervision at Northern Lights and Great Lakes Elementary Schools. You will help implement curriculum, supervise children, and assist with meal service in alignment with licensing rules.

Ideal candidates have Wisconsin qualifications for assistant teachers, CPR/First Aid certification, and a commitment to inclusive, developmental activities. Part-time hours and center needs may vary.

Qualifications

• Must be CPR/AED and First Aid certified for adults, children, and infants.
• Must meet Wisconsin Assistant Child Care Teacher qualifications.
• Commitment of supporting principles of equal opportunity and affirmative action to achieve a diverse work environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises preschool or school age children, classroom, and activities.
• Assists in developing daily lesson plans with the Teacher.
• Instructs and supervises children for social and developmental activities.
• Assist with serving of nutritious breakfast/snacks in accordance with the monthly calendar.
