The YMCA of Greater Waukesha County seeks a Lead Teacher at West Suburban YMCA in Wauwatosa, WI. This full-time, year-round position oversees early learning activities and will transition to summer camp duties, coordinating lesson plans and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for 4K students.

Candidates must be 18+, 240 hours of early childhood experience, meet licensing requirements, and obtain CPR/First Aid/AED within the specified time.

Formación

• Must be at least 18 years old and have 240 hours of experience in an approved education setting.
• Must meet Child Care Licensing requirements including specified training or degree credentials.
• Must obtain CPR, First Aid, AED, Abusive Head Trauma, Mandated Reporter certifications within the required time frame.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to relate to diverse populations.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and supervise daily activities.
• Act as on-site supervisor of the 4K Wrap Care program.
• Manage materials and supplies for activities and maintain quality of resources.
• Build positive relationships with staff, families, and children and provide guidance.
• Coordinate with local school districts to align programming with policies.
• Maintain participant records and comply with department requirements.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of learning spaces.
• Follow YMCA emergency procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
