Job summary

Genesee Intermediate School District is seeking an Early Intervention Specialist for Early On to provide services to infants and toddlers (birth to age three) and support their families.

Work within a multidisciplinary team using a primary provider model and caregiver coaching, in homes and community settings in line with Michigan Early On and IDEA Part C.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with Michigan Teaching Certificate and appropriate Early Childhood Special Education endorsement (ZS or ZN).
• Evidence of successful work with infants and toddlers with disabilities (birth to three preferred).
• Licensure in an approved discipline (e.g., Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Social Work) or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide early intervention services to infants and toddlers (birth–3) and their caregivers within a multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver services using Primary Service Provider and coaching model to build caregiver capacity.
• Work in natural environments (homes, childcare, community settings) in compliance with Michigan Early On and IDEA Part C requirements.

Position Summary

The Early Intervention Specialist for Early On provides early intervention services to infants and toddlers (birth to age three) and their caregivers as part of a multidisciplinary team. This position is open to qualified special education teachers and related service providers (e.g., speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, social workers).

Services are delivered using a Primary Service Provider and coaching model to support caregiver capacity to address developmental needs within daily routines. Services are provided in natural environments, including homes, childcare, and community settings, in accordance with Michigan Early On and IDEA Part C requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree and Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with appropriate Early Childhood Special Education endorsement (ZS or ZN) or willing to obtain or current. Evidence of successful work with infants and toddlers with disabilities, birth-to-three years of age preferred. Valid Michigan licensure in an approved discipline, including:

• Speech- Language Pathology: Master's degree in Speech- Language Pathology and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred
• Occupational Therapy: Bachelor's or Master's Degree with current Michigan licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Physical Therapy: Master's or Doctorate Degree with Current Michigan licensure as a Physical Therapist
• Social Work: Master's Degree of Social Work and valid or eligible for School Social Worker approval from MDE (PSWC). Current Michigan licensure as a Social Worker (LMSW or LLMSW)
• Other approved related field: Current Michigan licensure or approval consistent with Early On provider requirements

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $48,446 - $94,537 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications

Work Schedule: 186 days / 7 hours daily

Paid Time Off:

• Sick and Personal Business paid time, up to 13 days
• Bereavement Leave
