Job summary

The Bergen County Office of Child Development is seeking an Early Intervention Service Coordinator to support the New Jersey Early Intervention System. The role involves working with families, public and private agencies to meet eligible needs, under supervision, with focus on infants and toddlers up to age three.

Responsibilities include IFSP development, cross-agency coordination, and follow-up on progress, with a strong emphasis on verbal and written communication and office software

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, Word, Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Gather information from clients to identify problems and determine eligibility for social services.
• Interface directly with families in person and via telehealth.
• Refer clients to other service units to meet specific needs.
• Create IFSPs with the Early Intervention Team, documenting outcomes and strategies.
• Coordinate client services with multiple agencies and school districts.
• Follow up to evaluate progress and adjust service plans as needed.
• Maintain timely adherence to relevant laws and codes.
• Maintain a caseload and records in compliance with state requirements.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and evaluations.
• Prepare reports and other required documents.
