Early Intervention Mentor (Pending Board Approval)

Join to apply for the Early Intervention Mentor (Pending Board Approval) role at Tulsa Public Schools.

Position Summary: The Early Intervention Mentor serves as a year-round behavioral support leader, providing expert coaching, planning, and professional development to strengthen school-based capacity in behavior intervention. This role supports the implementation of standardized Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), while guiding teams in trauma-informed, culturally responsive practices. The Early Intervention Mentor helps ensure students’ behavioral needs are met proactively and equitably, reducing lost instructional time and improving outcomes districtwide.

Education - Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in social work, psychology, child development, special education, or a closely related field

Experience:

  • Three (3) years’ work experience in education, social work, or mental health

Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.:

  • Possess or ability to obtain and maintain an Oklahoma Teacher’s Certification
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
