Job summary

Position Summary:

The Early Intervention Mentor serves as a year-round behavioral support leader, providing expert coaching, planning, and professional development to strengthen school-based capacity in behavior intervention. This role supports the implementation of standardized Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), while guiding teams in trauma-informed, culturally responsive practices. The Early Intervention Mentor helps ensure students’ behavioral needs are met proactively and equitably, reducing lost instruction time and improving outcomes districtwide.

Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Education: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in social work, psychology, child development, special education, or a closely related field.
  2. Experience: Three (3) years’ work experience in education, social work, or mental health.
  3. Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: Possess or ability to obtain and maintain an Oklahoma Teacher’s Certification. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
