Job summary

Rise Services, Inc. is hiring Early Intervention Developmental Specialists to join their AzEIP Program in Arizona. These independent contractors will work with families of children with disabilities, conducting assessments and providing services in the child’s natural environment.

RISE Early Intervention is a growing organization that provides support to families of children birth to three years of age with disabilities or special developmental needs, helping them to build on their child's strengths, and to enhance and promote the child's growth, development and learning skills in their natural environment

Job Overview

We are seeking Early Intervention Developmental Specialists to hire as independent contractors for our AzEIP Program. Positions are available throughout Maricopa and Pinal counties: Wickenburg, Peoria, Surprise, Cave Creek, Carefree, North Central Phoenix, South Central Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler, Maricopa, and Casa Grande. Developmental Specialists work as part of the EI Core Team, which includes Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, and other Developmental Specialists.

Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide evaluations, assessments, planning, and ongoing services in collaboration with the child's family and other community representatives.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of AzEIP and DDD policies, child development, family professional partnerships, teamwork, assessment and evaluation, planning, and intervention.
  • Participate in one‑on‑one sessions with families.
  • Provide supports and services in the child’s natural environment (home, daycare, park, etc.) to make information meaningful and directly relevant to the child's growth.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed for service provision.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, Speech‑Language Pathology Assistant, Special Education, or a related field required by the specific discipline.
  • Completion of the AzEIP Standards of Practice and Early Interventionist certification within three (3) years of employment; demonstrate knowledge of the Core Team Model, AzEIP policies and procedures.
  • Pediatric experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel for meetings and trainings.
  • Must be able to complete a successful background check and obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
