Save the Children in North Carolina is seeking an Early Head Start Teacher to develop and implement infant/toddler education plans, promoting social-emotional, physical, and cognitive growth in collaboration with a co-Teacher.

You will engage families, maintain records, ensure safety, and participate in professional development while upholding program standards and licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires CDA or associate degree in child development or related field.
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with families and teams.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Commitment to Head Start/Early Head Start program goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized and group lesson plans for infants and toddlers.
• Lead classroom activities with a co-Teacher and staff.
• Maintain safe and compliant learning environments.
• Document observations and portfolios for each child.
• Engage families through conferences and home visits.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality.
• Collaborate with Program Aides and Volunteers.
