Qualifications

• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with individuals and teams to provide high-quality services.
• Strong organizational, problem solving and time management skills.
• Ability to follow established directions and take initiative.
• Knowledge of Head Start/Early Head Start concepts and confidentiality requirements.
• Commitment to professional development including first aid and pediatric CPR as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized and group lesson plans for infants and toddlers to promote social-emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.
• Lead child development activities with a co-Teacher and support from aides and volunteers.
• Maintain records and ensure confidentiality in all child-related information.
• Plan conferences with families and conduct home visits to discuss progress and development.
• Ensure safety and preventive supervision of children in all settings.
• Collaborate with Manager of Education & Inclusion on professional development plans.
