Save the Children is seeking an Early Head Start Teacher to develop lesson plans for infants and toddlers and promote social-emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. You will collaborate with a co-Teacher and work with Program Aides and volunteers to provide high-quality early education services.

You will verify compliance with regulations, build family partnerships, and report to the Center Director or Manager of Education & Inclusion.

Qualifications

• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with individuals and teams to provide high-quality services to children and families.
• Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and organizational skills; strong problem solving and time management.
• Ability to follow established directions and take initiative.
• Knowledge of Head Start/Early Head Start program purpose.
• Ability to relate sensitively to children and maintain confidentiality.
• Participation in professional development including basic first aid and pediatric CPR as required by state licensing and HSPPS.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement individual and group lesson plans for infants and toddlers to promote social-emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.
• Lead classroom activities with a co-Teacher and support from Program Aides and Volunteers.
• Ensure legal compliance with federal, state and local regulations and maintain accurate records.
• Create strong partnerships with families and engage parents through conferences and home visits.
• Maintain a safe, developmentally appropriate learning environment and supervise children actively.
