Job summary

Learning Care Group in Arizona is seeking a Lead Teacher for Early Head Start. You will plan, assess, and instruct based on each child's needs within the Head Start program, helping prepare children for Kindergarten and beyond!

You will create engaging learning experiences, mentor fellow teachers, manage classroom and curriculum, and build relationships with families to support center success. Requires Associate’s Degree or CDA in Infant/Toddler and classroom leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Associate’s Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or CDA in Infant/Toddler.
• Ability to meet state requirements for education and our childcare center requirements.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assess and instruct based on each child’s needs and program requirements.
• Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation.
• Be an expert on licensing guidelines and Head Start program requirements.
• Build sincere relationships with enrolled and prospective families to support the center’s success.

Early Head Start provides early education for children birth to 3 years old,parent involvementand family support, and comprehensive health and nutrition education for children. The Lead Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing based on the needs of each child, and the requirements of the program.
