Job summary

Learning Care Group's Early Head Start program is seeking a Lead Teacher to plan, assess, and instruct based on each child’s needs, preparing them for Kindergarten and beyond. You’ll create engaging learning experiences and mentor fellow teachers while ensuring classroom management aligns with licensing guidelines and Head Start requirements.

You will build strong relationships with families, promote child achievement, and contribute to a positive, supportive center environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or CDA in Infant/Toddler.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state requirements for education and childcare center requirements.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assess and instruct based on the needs of each child and the program requirements.
• Create fun, interactive learning experiences while mentoring fellow Teachers.
• Lead classroom management and curriculum implementation, and be an expert on licensing guidelines, company standards and Head Start program requirements.
• Communicate and build relationships with enrolled and prospective families to support child achievement and center success.

Early Head Start provides early education for children birth to 3 years old,parent involvementand family support, and comprehensive health and nutrition education for children. The Lead Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing based on the needs of each child, and the requirements of the program.
