Qualifications

  • Foundational knowledge of infant and toddler development.
  • Six months’ experience with infant and toddler education or care.
  • Willingness to learn state and federal early childhood education standards.

Success In This Role Looks Like:

  • Supporting the Lead Teacher with daily routines and child-focused activities that nurture development.
  • Creating and maintaining a safe, emotionally secure, and developmentally appropriate environment.
  • Stepping in confidently to lead the classroom in the absence of the Teacher.
  • Supporting the implementation of all licensing, Head Start, and nutrition program standards.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure all children, regardless of ability, receive inclusive care and support.

What You Bring To The Team:

  • Foundational knowledge of infant and toddler development and the ability to work with mixed-age groups.
  • A flexible, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to step into a variety of roles as needed.
  • Awareness of (or willingness to learn) state and federal early childhood education standards and safety requirements.
  • Strong communication skills, professionalism, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Physical stamina and readiness to engage in active play, indoor and outdoor activities, and child care routines.

Requirements for Consideration:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months’ experience with infant and toddler education or care.
