JOB SUMMARY
The HS Assistant Teacher assists in planning and implementing classroom activities for Head Start children. This role involves working closely with the lead teacher to support the developmental needs of children and engaging with families to foster a collaborative learning environment.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education required.
Experience working with families and children ages birth to five required.
Knowledge of Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Ability to write using correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation; and to organize documents accurately.
Ability to effectively communicate with community members and groups, managers, regulatory agencies, and families both individually and in group settings.
