Summary

Tollhouse Preschool is seeking a responsible, nurturing, and creative Associate Teacher to work with our young friends! Applicant should have excellent organizational skills and ability to communicate professionally with families, staff, and children. For over 36 years, our center has been offering high-quality care for children 6 weeks to 10 years. We are committed to helping children grow and develop socially, physically, and cognitively. Duties

• Respecting each child's individuality and unique contributions.
• Greeting and welcoming families and children at arrival. Communicating with families when they return at the end of the day.
• Planning and facilitating classroom and outdoor activities.
• Preparing and organizing the classroom environment, materials, and activity centers; cleaning up after daily activities.
• Observing, documenting, and evaluating each child's development.
• Implementing individualized lesson plans.
• Supervising children closely at all times during the day.
• Teaching children social skills, play, and communication.
• Assisting staff in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized center.
• Maintaining professionalism in demeanor, attitude, and appearance.
• Respecting confidentiality.
• Planning and implementing behavior management strategies and individual modification plans.
• Assisting children with basic life skills such as bathrooming, dressing, handwashing, and eating.
• Participating in staff meetings, parent conferences, center events, and trainings.
• Following NH Childcare Licensing Rules and Guidelines.

Requirements

Associate Teacher qualification: 3-9 credits in ECE (including 3 in Child Development) and experience with young children.

• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Physical ability to bend down to children's level, lift children, and maintain high energy levels.
• First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain it.
