Job summary

Saginaw Intermediate School District is seeking a Quality Improvement Coach to support early childhood educators in Great Start to Quality. This licensed-exempt training and coaching role focuses on relationship-based coaching to strengthen teaching practices and early literacy while driving continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, education, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in early childhood education, coaching, consultation, or professional learning.
• Knowledge of early literacy, developmentally appropriate practices, and quality improvement concepts.
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned Resource Center region and work within various programs.

Responsibilities

• Support early childhood programs and educators in understanding the Great Start to Quality process.
• Provide individualized, practice-based coaching with goals, observation, and feedback.
• Build respectful, strengths-based relationships with educators and leaders.
• Help educators set goals, implement effective practices, and monitor progress.
• Support literacy, screening, and quality improvement activities across programs.
• Travel throughout the assigned Resource Center region and document coaching activities.
