ECS4Kids is hiring an Assistant Cook to support meal preparation, transportation, and service of nutritious meals for Head Start children in Georgia. You will help maintain clean kitchen areas and ensure meals meet USDA/CACFP guidelines while promoting healthy eating and safety.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and valid driver’s license; 6 months of food service experience preferred. Temp-to-Perm opportunity with full-time hours. Hourly pay at $14.59.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 6 months of related food service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of USDA/CACFP meal patterns and food safety standards preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to transport food between sites required.

Responsabilités

• Meal Preparation & Service: prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks according to menus and USDA/CACFP requirements.
• Kitchen Operations & Sanitation: maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas and utensils; follow food safety procedures.
• Inventory & Ordering: monitor inventory and assist with receipts and inspections of deliveries; stock milk and paper products.
• Documentation & Compliance: keep meals and temperatures records; assist with required documentation and review inspection reports.
• Food Transportation: safely transport prepared food between sites and ensure proper containers to preserve temperature.
• Team Collaboration: coordinate with center staff; participate in trainings and support classrooms as needed.
