Position Details

Location: Atchison. Full-time and part-time roles available.

The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. We seek an Early Childhood Group Leader Assistant/Attendant to provide care services within our Early Childhood program. Join us to make a difference in the lives of Kansas's most vulnerable populations. We offer integrated services including counseling, case management, psychosocial, and medication support, all at one site, emphasizing holistic care.

Salary and Benefits

• Hourly rate: $19.69 to $22.10, based on experience

Primary Duties

• Provide attendant care to promote daily activity completion and positive group interactions.
• Support clients in problem-solving and social interactions.
• Collaborate respectfully with clients’ families, maintaining appropriate boundaries.
• Assist in co-facilitating groups and developing curriculum.
• Encourage engagement in pro-social and youth program activities.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED required; one year of college coursework in human services or equivalent experience preferred.

Experience: At least 6 months working with community individuals; experience with mental health preferred.
