Job summary

Kennedy Krieger Institute seeks an Education Technical Assistance Specialist to provide high quality training and coaching to early childhood providers and teachers in CASSI programs and studies. The role advances tiered professional development, with classroom observations, data collection, and evaluation of outcomes.

The candidate will deliver trainings, support families, and collaborate with project staff, with a Master's degree and 5 years of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree is required in a related field.
• Five years of experience in early childhood teaching, coaching, and/or mentoring of teachers is required.
• Experience working with families of young children to support engagement across home and school is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with early childhood teachers and providers to identify professional development goals.
• Conduct classroom observations to gather data and inform training delivery.
• Identify evidence-based strategies and practices to target areas of need in classrooms.
• Deliver coaching and consultation in both in-person and virtual formats.
• Collect and track data, and enter it as needed.
• Lead professional development trainings and workshops for early childhood educators.
• Facilitate communities of practice and assist in materials development.
• Maintain coaching logs and progress monitoring data.
• Participate in weekly team meetings to report progress and address barriers.

Education

Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Speech Language Pathology, Psychology, or a related education, allied health, or human services field
